Electrical problem
1980 Pontiac Firebird V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I just replaced my starter for making a click noise and the starter completly broke on me. My battery was dead when we charged it and tried to turn it over we lost all power and cannot get any back???? is there more than one fuse box and where? what could the problem be?

there should be fusible link wires that connect to the battery post on the starter. You'll find one of them burnt up probably. they are about 6" long . if it is burnt usually you have lights and everything else except the car won't start....
