Engine Mechanical problem
1977 Pontiac Firebird V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
My 77 firebird starts and runs fine in park for about 10 mins, then a knocking sound occurs and when i put it into drive it cuts out. If anyone has any idea what this problem could be your help would be much appriciated.

Could be a mechanical problem like a bad connecting rod bearing, and the knock sensors is retarding the timing!
