Fiero stalls and runs rough

1984 2.5 L 130.00miles standard shift
This car starts easily, has a nice looking cone shaped fuel from the throttle body. Just replaced O2 sensor and fuel filter along with replaced several cracked vac lines.
The vehicle starts easily. After starting the vehicle will start to spit and sputter as the RPM returns to idle and will soon quit. If I keep gunning the engine it will run, but lacks any power. I have to keep the RPMs up high just to keep the engine running.

I'm having the same problem as you described with my 84 fiero. It runs fine cold but after a few minutes idles down and loses power and rough running leads to stall.
I've replaced Distributer and cap and SP wires, O2 sensor and had the computer analyze but everyone is stumped. Did you find an answer?

I have an 84 like you and it started doing the same things so I replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the plugs and distributer, then it still did it. So I did some research and it was the AIR IDLE CONTROL VALVE, I replaced that and now it runs good.
