Car ran fine for a small (45 min.) Highway trip, started and ran fine for return trip. Took exit ramp, once I decelerated below 10 mph, car stalled. Tried to restart, and started fine, but stalled once I put it into drive. Continued for 10 minutes, and finally was put into drive without stalling

Common sign of the torque converter lock up solenoid sticking.
If you can live without the extra 300rpm drop that it gives you when the TC is locked on the highway, you can simply unplug the 4 pin connector on the forward side of the transmission.

If you want to fix the problem you will have to replace it. It’s located inside the transmission. Remove the side cover pointing to the drivers side of the car.
