1987 Pontiac Fiero lack of power

I just bought this car and I am kicking myself. Thought I would put a little time into it and have a great car. Lots of time not so great.

The front exaugst manifold had a huge crack. I replaced both manifolds and the y-pipe. The power has not increased. The car just doesnt get up and go like the one I used to have. Car just had a tune up, and has a newer clutch. I am going to check the timing next. What else could the problem be???

Timing or a clogged cat are good possibilities.
