1987 Pontiac Fiero 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

its a 87 pontiac fiero GT its a 6CYL and the guy thats selling it says that the clutch is bad and he says it wont move but it starts, someone else says that it will move in first gear even with a bad clutch which or what is true?

If clutch is bad, then it would "grind" when trying to put into first gear if engine is running.

You could, with engine off, put in gear and start engine, but if clutch is bad, clutch would slip and you would have no or limited foward drive.

Easiest way to repair clutch is remove entire cradle from bottom. Four bolts hold cradle to frame.

Have someone depress clutch while you watch slave cylinder movement, if it does not move, then bleed slave, if it moves then clutch is suspect.

Is this 4 speed or 5 speed?
