1985 Pontiac Fiero Engine Idle

How do I slightly increase engine idle? Car runs great hwvr idlles to low when on gear. Turns off.

If this is a TBI unit on your engine it shouldn't need to be adjusted. Try some choke cleaner on the idle air control valve, that may solve the problem. If not there should be an idle control screw on or near the throttle cable. You will probably need a torx bit to adjust it.
