When the car is idling or at a slow speed (moving through a parking lot or neighborhood) fumes are blown into the passenger compartment through the heating/ac/ventilation system. At highway speeds there are no noticeable fumes getting into the interior.

You need this looked at exhaust leak is 99% probable
Get this checked or you will be replacing passengers if not the driver
