2000 Pontiac Bonneville Engine Size unknown Front Wheel Drive Automatic 79200 miles

i'm having problem's with gas coming out at the pump when first filling up. compartment to the gas cap won't open, i hv to pop the trunk,and pull the saftey cord in the trunk to open. help!!

Its an electric solenoid
so I would start by checking the fuses and power supply
check if the solenoid stuck
its in the trunk
