Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Pontiac Bonneville Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I had the battery, alternator, and starter tested, all were fine. My cluster lights dont work, everything else does. When I go to start it, it wont turn over, nothing. What is my problem?

Could be several things, first, try to start it in neutral, if it starts then the neutral safety switch is faulty, if it doesnt, then it sounds like you have a connection problem, check all wiring pos and neg. From the battery to the alternator to the starter, for corrosion and loose connections
get back to me with your findings

How did you test the alternator, it needs to come out and go to autozone where they can put it on a load machine.

I got spark and I can hear the fuel pump. Yep, I took the alternator out and took it to autozone. The only thing wrong with the alternator is the bearings are going bad.

The recall should indicate what they did as a "fix"

I really highly doubt it has anything to do with that really. I think its a wiring issue. Do you maybe have an idea how much it would cost to have them check the wiring and fix it, if that is the problem? Money really is an issue as im very limited in how much I can spend.

To check the wiring and fix, probably a hundred dollars or so for diagnostic all together 300 to 400 for any wiring, like injector harnasses.
