For the past 3 weeks, once a week after 5 to 10 miles of driving car dies. If I sit there 20 minutes or so
it will re-fire and go for another week. Problem is you
never know when or where it will happen. 1st time I was coming home from work traveling 60 mph slowing to turn, car died, I slipped to neutral coasted around the corner while trying to start the car. Fuel tank was nearly full, It was cold outside, after putting in park and turning off everything electrical inside, I tried to start again, it cranks but won't turn over. I just sat there waiting on a call back. Still waiting on phone to ring after probably 20 min I turned the key again and it started. Drove the remaining 2 miles home. The next week after about 6 mles of driving. Still winter driving 40 mph just left 4 way stop reaching probably 35 mph dies, I coast around corner into an addition again during the coast and after in park, car won't start. I pop hood get out check oil. Fine, antifreeze low but that may not be related. This time I have 1/4 tank of gas. And after about 20 min we re-fire and go on into town and back home about 15 additional miles of driving w/ no problem. The next week again i'm coming home from work, still winter, i'm traveling 60 mph I'm approching a traffic light at which I don't have to turn but I think I had lifted my foot from gas in case the light would change. My car dies again, I quickly get into turn lane slip to neutral and coast around the corner as I try to start from neutral (this time not 'cause I think it might re-fire but because this way I still have power steering) Waited and waited trying on occasion to start the car.I was limited on time so I may never have let it set as long as I did the other times. Finally had to give up the wait and have someone come get me. About 2 hours later went to get the car home and as I expected would happen. It re-fired and it drove home w/ no problems. No check engine light. And never did I see a change in the oil pressure, temperature gage or charging system until the car actually died (no warning) can you help?

I would teste the crank sensor, sometimes when they heat up, and are defective, it will kill the spark...but here is some info on intermitent troubleshooting. Also it wouldnt hurt to scan for codes, and freeze fram data, may find something!
