1997 Pontiac Bonneville BRAKE LIGHT INDICATOR IN PANEL

The brake light signal / light in the panel by the speedometer comes on and off sporatically. With it comes a random dinging sound.

I'm hoping that it's an easy fix... Help.

Need to clarify this. Is it the brake failure warning light?
You mentioned signal light, is it the turn signals?
