1997 Pontiac Bonneville 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have two questions sorry i am not able to give any donations, but first is, Will it make it easier to retract the calipers if you open the brake fluid cap? and second is, If after retracting the calipers their is a leak is it still safe enough to put them back on and take them to a mechanic? Thank you.

Hi:
First, I never force fluid back into the master cylender. I release the pressure at the caliper's bleeder valve.

Also, where is the leak coming from? Listen, any leak in the brake system is dangerous. Therefore, I do not recommend driving the car until the leak is fized.

Let me know if this helps.
