The lines on my Rack & Pinion are leaking and I need to replace them I have them off (much easier then I thought it would be) and I notice one end of the lines is a special high pressure fitting not just a double flaring. Can someone tell me if there is a tool that can make this end? Or a source where I can get one of these lines? I prcied them at the dealer and they are $65 and $125. The lines are only 24" and the other is 18".

Any help would be appreciated.

On the high pressure line, I suggest you get a premade hose, they are timed correctly and fit so as not to get in the way of anything else. The return line (low pressure) you can carefully cut the outer part of the fitting off and peel it back to be able to remove the hose. Then use the same end with a piece of hydraulic hose (must be hydraulic, not fuel ine)and a couple of hose clamps.
