The frame that my rack and pinion rests on has rusted thru. I was told that the fram eit sits on is replaceable but I can find no help in this catogory. Is this part replaceable and if so how do I go about doing it?

It is called subframe assembly. I would call the local wrecking yards to see if they have a good one there.
