Smells problem
1993 Pontiac Bonneville 6 cyl Automatic 187000 miles

This is my first car so I know very little. Every now and then when I start of my car, a small amount of smoke and fumes come from the vents on my dashboard what I believe is used to defrost the front window. I do not know what this is and I would like to catch it before it gets any worse. I can not stop driving it as it is the only thing I have for work. And I would like to know about how much it would cost before some mechanic scams me lol. Any advice is highly appreciated.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

I would get the A/C drain tube checked for a blockage, as you may have excess moisture building up on the evaporator, and the smell is also stagnate water growing mold & mildew, you can get a specific deodorizer and cleaner for the A/C vents, its an aerosol ask your parts out let for it.
