2004 Pontiac Aztek key will not come out.

When I shut my car off, the key stops just one click before off. The key will not come out. My battery runs all the way down, and I need a jump to start it up again. What is my problem?

I've had the key stick but only when the battery had already died. Does your key always stick even with the battery charged?

It sounds like you have an issue from the interlock solenoid in the shifter. It is common to have some broken wires at the base of the shifter that can easily be repaired which should correct your problem.
