My car was idling real fast and the gas cage was going crazy.. I put sea foam in it and the gas cage worked itself out then the idle worked itself out. I was told it was an idle control valve. Now it won't start. Could that keep it from starting?

Yes, it could. However, it should have set the check engine light. Did that happen?
