Try cleaning thethrottle plate with choke cleaner and spraying the oblonghole. That 's where the idle air control is. It may be sticking or even bad. If you want to try another idle air control. It should just screw out and when you put the new one in you rhave to drive 40 mph for a little distance for it to reset. But it can also be your throttle position sensor is screwed up as well. Take the choke cleaner and clean that as well, it's a little black looking thing on the oppisite side of where the cables hook up.
