Engine Cooling problem
1989 Pontiac 6000 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

We have a 1989 pontiac 6000 that the motor on the fan went so replaced the fan motor. Fan would not turn on so have now replaced the connector. Still won't turn on. Car overheating. Next step is to change thermostat and sensor. Just wondering if anyone had any other ideas of what we should do. Thanks!
