starter ok replaced ignition switch still won't crank what could be the problem

Have you tried cranking in neutral? The purple wire at the starter solenoid should be hot with the key in the crank position. If it isn't, you need to backtrack the circuit. Also, can you tell if there is a load on the starter, key in crank position, watch the dash lites/dome lites or something, do they dim, go out or anything?
