I have a 1983 Pontiac 6000 2.5L TBI and when i go to start it gas comes gushing out of the carb part of the tbi. i have replaced all the gaskets and installed a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator. It keeps catching on fire and i cannot find out how to fix it. My Fuel injector is working and i also replaced the stock pressure regulator as well. Here is a pic

You have done everything I would have suggested. There must be a crack in the tbi. My next advise would be installing new unit from a junk yard.

If the fuel injector was clogged and the gasket in the picture that is circled was bad would that be enough to make this happen?

A clogged injector will have nothing to do with it. That gasket could be bad but I thought you said you replaced it.

I have been in your situation before and they are very finicky, you must replace those gaskets with new ones or they will leak. Ive been there and tried that.
