1994 Plymouth Voyager SE 3.0.149000 on body, 100K+ on 2nd used tranny. I am so glad that I purchased the 2 year warranty they had to offer. It sure has been worth it so far. We have now put in a 2nd tranny after 3500 miles approximately. Noticed at oil change that mechanic had smelled burnt tranny fluid. I was like, your kidding me, right? After 3 days later the tranny went out and left my son and I stranded on a dark country road with little to no traffic, once again on our way home, and 19 miles from there.
I was very frustrated. You see, I am disabled and the van was donated to us after a car accident with my then 11.5 yr old son (he is now almost 14), that was Feb 2005. We were hit head-on by 2 other vehicles on icy packed roads on our way home.
Now we have a problem, the gentleman that has been working on the van for the last month, does not remember where the radiator hoses are to attach to. There are 2 of them. One upper and the other is lower. I said before that they should have been arked. However, I am just a woman that knows nothing. So some men assume. (I however feel that procrastination is the culprit here).
Now is there anyone that can tell me how these go back on? I have had to since buy a car, as the 1st time the tranny went out I was without the van for over 6 months and we have no public transportation where we live at, which makes it even harder to get around. So I decided not to let that happen again, and so out of my disability money of a lump sum from ssi, I bought a used car and paid the many bills that I could to keep my home from being in disconnection and such.
I am sorry if this sounds like a plea for help. However, every bit of it is the truth.
Sincerely & Thank You,
Julie :D
