Today I had to go and buy a new air conditioner compressor for my 1990 Plymouth Voyager. They said I needed to put oil into the compressor but no one at the auto store could tell me what kind. I need to know what kind to put into it so that I can get my air conditioner going before it gets too hot.
If anyone knows what kind it is please let me know.

BG make a compressor oil that is compatible with any oil. plus it has a dye in it to detect leaks easier. it's best to change the evap core, dryer and orifice tube when replacing the compressor. i think you can only get the oil at the dealer. i don't think BG products are sold at part stores yet.
