I own a 1995 Plymouth Voyger. It has a 3.3 L engine with 117,000 miles on it. The front drivers side door will not close. The latch seems to have turned down too far when compared to the passenger side door. This problem occured once before a couple of years back, however; I cannot recall what I did to get it back in it's proper position. I've tinkered with it for two days now and am at my witts end. Hope to get it corrected before rainfall. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What I do is stick a pencil or screwdiver into the area that thinks it's holding the post on the jamb, pull back and lift the door handle at the same time.
