From BC, Canada.....again
Hi,
I have a 96 Plymouth grand voyager, 260K 3.0L, I made a full tune up couple months ago, replaced the 2 oxygen sensors and now I'm getting the #72 code: Catalytic coverter failure..... my Van is stalling if I don't warm up for about 10 min. and this was the cause of why I did the tune up & O2 sensors changed from the very beginning.
at the beginning I was getting only the code 21 for the O2 sensors and now there's no 21 anymore, instead I have now 72.
the nightmare will end with the replacement of the Catalytic Converter??? or this is a consecuence from something in the engine??
Thank you

You can get a rubber mallet and bang on the converter, see if you can hear the "bed" inside rattling. If yes the Converter is damaged, not only will the converter need replacing, but the exhaust will too.
