i had what seemed to a bit of a miss and lately it got very very bad. now my van is sputtering and has some power but not enough to get up hills. when i gear down it goes uphill but it seems to be winding higher. is this possibly the fuel filter, or in need of plugs wires? hopefully its not a valve job. please answer me for its the only vehicle i have

you do have a misfire, I have the same problem on my 97 but it was not the plugs, unfortunately. If I find out what is causing my misfire, I will leave another message with what my misfire is caused from.
