1999 Plymouth Voyager Engine hesitates

Van starts OK. But pickup is not there. It picks up very slowly and hesitates. When speed reaches 60-65 MPH then it starts running OK> Service Engine soon Sign comes up regularly. I changed the spark plugs and change the air filter but makes no difference. Got checked the trouble codes by the Auto zone, it does not show any codes. Guy at Auto zone told there maight be some mechanical problem.

Check fuel pressure and fuel pump
check for code history
if check engine light comes on PCM will store the code until codes cleared
or after 50 or so completed drive cycles without any problem
