I have a 1998 plymouth voyager that dies when you put it in gear. It shows the code for the same as titled in this question. Its a 2.4 auto. You have to give it gas for it to staart and it idles very poorly but the engine sounds good as long as you give it gas but dies down at an idle.

Check your tps sensor by voltage, with engine off key on probe no throttle, probe grey wire with red led and light blue wire with black led no throttle should read.80 of volt with throttle wide open it should read 4.50 volts it should have almost 1 volt closed throttle and 5 volts open, its not the tps and or tcc sensor thats not your problem your problem is going to be in your asd relay circuits check for bad ground or bad relay

Ok, forget about the torque converter code, they didn't have it plugged up good. Now it'll start but you have to be giving it gas for it to start and it won't idle and it dies when you put it in gear(doesn't matter how high you get the rpms it dies as soon as you put it in gear, but in park or neutral it will run as long as you hold your foot on the gas.) Any ideas?
