1998 Plymouth Voyager doubtful diagnosis

pin inside the differential loose up and hit the wall beside the converter causing tranny failure

But which is correct??? if the gears were stripped, we'd not have been able to drive it forward after we added the tranny fluid, would we? Do we actually need a new tranny?

If they have the tranny out let them show you it
what happen is the pin that hold the gears together and in place broke off
it will continue to turn and drive a bit but its digging into the tranny case causing it to brake and fluid to leak
its depend how severe it is
some time you can welled it and rebuilt the tranny
they have new design pin clip
