My 98 voyager minivan has been giving me several problems at one time. I was leaking antifreeze and had a cream backwash on my oil cap, I also has the il alarm going off; when the oil is full.. Went to mechanic and they replace waterpump, hoses, bypass hoseand timing belt. The check engine light is stil on, and the oil alarm started going off again. The oil is full. Could this be the oil pump?

Does the oil cap and dipstick look like a chocolate milk shake? If so you are mixing oil and coolant. Chances are good that you have a blown headgasket or cracked head. Have a compression check done to verify.

Good luck and let us know. :)

Suggested Repair

If the oil cap and dipstick look like a chocolate milkshake, oil and coolant are mixing. Suspect a blown head gasket or cracked head, and have a compression check done to verify.

Conversation Summary

The owner of a 1998 Plymouth Voyager reported an antifreeze leak, creamy residue on the oil cap, and an oil alarm despite a full oil level. After the water pump, hoses, bypass hose, and timing belt were replaced, the check engine light and oil alarm returned. The expert said a milkshake appearance indicates oil and coolant mixing, most likely from a blown head gasket or cracked head, and recommended a compression check.
