1997 Plymouth Voyager not heating

Had to remove therostat to keep from overheating and heater wont work

HI:
For the heater to work, the thermostat needs to be replaced. If it's overheating, the radiator may be plugged. Have the system flushed and try that. Also, make sure the cooling fans are working.
