a screeching sound seems to be coming from the serpentine belt, I have tried different ways to determine where the noise is coming from, They tell me it might be the belt tensioner, because when I apply belt dressing the noise stops but then it comes back again, what can it be and how can I determine where the noise is coming from. Also can you give me instructions on how to replace the belt tensioner. Thanks.

Belt tensioners are held on by a bolt through the tension arm. I would remove the belt, spin all pulleys that spin, A/C, alt and tensioner and idler if it has one, any roughness or binding means part replacement, with 139,000 even if the idler and tensioner seem OK replace them! I will send a PDF for more info!
