Engine Performance problem
1996 Plymouth Voyager 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 113000 miles

my 96 plymouth voyager idles very rough when started, it shuts off sometimes but able to always restart, it hardly has any acceleration(very low power output) and sometimes it backfires. When driven past 30 mph for about 15 mins it starts running normal and keeps doing so if i driven at normal conditions, even acceleration comes back. Sometimes though if i hit a hard bump or break suddenly it starts idling rough again, what is wrong with my minivan?

THe fact that it can happen when you hit a bump suggests a sensor wiring problem. I'd start with the crankshaft position sensor. Mine were frayed and caused driveability problems that my mechanic couldn't diagnose.
