I recently came into possesion of a 96 plymouth grand voyager. I was told that it needs a new transmission modulator. The problem is that, while driving, it will act like its in neutral. After pulled over and shifted into park, it runs fine. Is getting a new transmission modulator what I need to do?

IT might be, check the codes in the computer and post them.

I assume the fluid is in good shape-clean and pink and the filter has been changed a few time by now.
