I have a question and none of my local guys are able to help me. I am having an issue with current draw and vehicle not starting. Last Sunday I encountered an issue where my ignition would not turn to the acc position. I then tried to start my vehicle, the starter clicked twice, then the third time it started. Ran fine all the way home. After it had sat for approximately 12-14 hours, I went to start the vehicle and the batery was drained. I then completely charged the battery and still the same issue continued. Including being unable to put the ignition switch in the acc position. Last night I tried a different battery from my other vehicle and encountered the same issue. The fuel pump kicks on, the starter begins to engage, and nothing. All the lights go dim like a dead battery. Again, I try to turn the ignition switch to the acc position. After a couple of tries, it finally moves into the acc position with no issues, but I still have the no start condition. Now here is the part that is throwing everyone I have asked off. I noticed that when I turned the ignition switch to the acc position, the lights on my radio (aftermarket) would blink rapidly, but the display nor the radio turned on. Now after confirming the battery is 100% charged and clean, the vehicle continues to do the same thing and the radio willnot turn on, but the lights will stay on. So, is this a switch or is it a relay, or a combination thereof? None of the previous? I hope you can help me! replacing parts quickly add up! Thank you in advance.
