1994 Plymouth Voyager brake noise

My van makes screeching noises and brakes try to lock up after it has rained and at no other time. After I drive it VERY CAREFULLY for a block or so it stops doing this.

Hi:

Check the brake pads and shoes to make sure they are ok. If the back brakes are locking up when it's damp, have the drums lightly cut to get rid of the glaze, and lightly sand the shoes with 220 grit sand paper, clean with brake clean, and properly adjust.

Also, if the brakes are grabbing, there is a chance of a wheel cylender leaking.
