1992 Plymouth Voyager sliping and not upshifting correctly

Transmission problem
1992 Plymouth Voyager Front Wheel Drive Automatic

the van slips a little when starting. it shifts correctly at first. but after going 10 to 12 miles it will down shift but not upshift after that. it will shift if walking through the gears from low to drive.

do a tcm code check
suspect tranny solenoid pack and or speed sensor
