1989 Plymouth Voyager Distributer Screws

My local repair shop didn't want to tune my van up because the screws to the distributer is froze. I said no problem I'd keep using WD40 till they freed up. I went out the other day and tried to remove the distributer cap and one of the screws twisted off. I have a set of easy outs and none small enough. I asked my car parts place about getting one and none are made that small, I really don't want to drill
and retap because of the possible change to regular timing. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Well the only other option is to replace the Distributor. Either way you would need to remove it.

I always had the distributer cap off when I removed the distributer shaft so I wasn't sure if it came out with the cap on. You were very helpful Thank you

You would be better off ringing the other screw off and removing the cap, just to preserve the firing order.

Also before removing you can mark on the distributor and on the block for position and also mark the direction the rotor is pointing on the distributor. Will make thing a little easier and won't have to go through the bringing the #1 cylinder to TDC on the compression stroke and so forth.
