Electrical problem
1984 Plymouth Voyager 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic unknow miles

I changed the radiator today because it leaked terribly
and I noticed that a wire from the fan was wrapped around the covered part of positive battery cable. When you take that wire and touch it to the positive battery post the fan comes on. Could you please tell me where this wire is actually supposed to be?

You are likely looking at someone's handywork to get the fan operational after the solid state cooling fan module failed. I have installed such a wire to touch to the battery terminal in event of "emergency" on the road if the cooling modules fails again and I need the fans to run at full speed to get home. Just leave the wire alone and keep it insulated and not electrically touching anything.
