1978 Plymouth Volare Brake problem

i actually have a 1978 dodge aspen but since these 2 are essentially the same car thats what i put it under. when i push the brake pedal it doesnt return fully and leaves the stoplight engaged. i have to pull it up with my left foot. the guy i bought it from suggested the brake booster. what should i look at?

Try adjusting the brake booster pushrod, check the return spring could be sprung and check the brake switch adjustment
