1991 Plymouth Sundance left turn and brake light

my left rear brake light or turn signal doesn't work. I can manually use the turn signal and it works in the front and sides, but not the back. I tried changing the bulb and put it a new socket and it still doesn't work. any help would be appreciated.

If you replaced the socket, did you check to see if you were getting power to the wiring?
