Electrical problem
1989 Plymouth Sundance 4 cyl Manual 150000 miles

My brake lights are coming on dim according to an observer and my turn signals are blinking very slow or not at all. Is this just a problem with needing to replace a flasher switch/relay? If so where is it located? Also, are these two problems related? My serpentine belt might be a little loose. Could that cause the dim brake lights and also slow flashers?

If the belt is lose enough that the alternator isn't properly charging the battery, it could cause this problem. Otherwise, my concern would be a bad ground to the light sockets.

Thanks. You say bad ground for light sockets plural, does each have its own ground, is their one for both or all, and does that consist of a wire to the frame or what, and if so how can I find the lace to fix. Somebody told me if the signals started getting slow, the flasher needed to be replaced, Does that not seem to be right?

Most likely it will be a ground to the frame. As far as the flasher, it could be bad too. However, when you said the lights dim, that is why I have the concern with a ground.
