Engine Mechanical problem
1989 Plymouth Sundance 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic N/A miles

my girlfriend just got a 89 plymouth sundance real cheap but needs some work and i was wondering what would make the oil light come on even after the oil sender was changed and the car seems like it idles fine im just hopin its not the oil pump and there is a mess of wires that someone took the wrapping off of and i was wondering if that has anything to do with it because i think one or some of them go to the sender.? I would greatly appreciate this question be responded to asap because i cannot pay for one right now.

Use a mechanical gauge and read the pressure if its normal you have replaced the oil pressure switch already- abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearings
