I was just wondering if it was at all possible to put a 1988-95 Chrysler 3.0L engine and a 1988-95 3.0L transmission in place of the 2.2L engine and transmission that are currently in my 85' reliant se? Would it do more harm than good? I am looking to restore and improve a very loved very dear friend, so cost isn't really that imortant to me[img:4ac42e34c0]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/92327_rosie_1.jpg[/img:4ac42e34c0].

Anything is possible, but this is going to be more work than it's worth. This car never was designed for the V6 so suspension is one problem. Next, you will need to have mounts for the engine and trans fabricated. If you get this all done, then you need to deal with a computer that won't recognize signals from this type of engine. Linkage for the transmission is different... The list goes on.

I strongly recommend rebuilding the engine in it, or find a direct fit.
