1989 Plymouth Reliant 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive 100,00 miles

engine sems to be getting to much fuel,idleing runs fine,when you go to excelerate it starts missing and hessitates,gets up to 40 miles per hour,car begins to jerk rapidly

This could be a few things. Before we start replacing parts that are good, I recommend you take the car to a nationally recognized auto parts store and have them scan the computer. Stores like Auto Zone will do it for free. Once you get a code, we'll go from there and try to get it running better.
