Electrical problem
2005 Other Plymouth Models Two Wheel Drive Manual 125000 miles

I have a problem, I have a 95 neon sho 2.0. I just replaced the alt and batt. New cable too. My old alt
died due to the fact the one wire that conects to the bolt, (not the one that goes to the two pins)
somehow got fried and melted the plastic shroud.
as I said I replace the alt and batt. But my batt light keeps coming on after 5 min of driving. What else
should I be checking cant see anything visible
as far as wires go. Asap!

Make sure the belt is not too loose?

INSUFFICIENT CHARGINGt
Ensure battery is in good condition. Ensure battery cables and connections are in good condition. Ensure alternator belt is in good condition and properly adjusted. Ensure alternator and PCM harness connections are clean and secure. Ensure engine ground straps are in place and secure.
UNSTEADY OR LOW CHARGING
Check for loose alternator belt, defective alternator, and/or high resistance. High resistance could be caused by loose alternator or engine ground wire, and/or corroded battery terminals.
