I have a 2002 plymouth neon, 60,00 miles automatic, 2 wheel drive, 2.0 ltr engine. I have two problems. One is the gas guage needle. It only goes between 1/2 and 3/4, even if the tank is full. The other question is regarding the anti-theft device. When I go to lock the car with the factory provided remote, the "beep" is extremly weak, barely audible. I have changed the battery with no luck.

There may be a problem with the sending unit, the gauge, wiring or a ground as far as the fuel tank level is concerned.

The best I can offer on the Key FOB is to pull the battery back out and make sure the contacts for the battery are locking in the battery tightly, sometimes you need to bend a metal contact tab out a little to give it a tighter fit. IF the battery has been on the shelf a long time, you may have a weak battery from age on the shelf.
