in the morning I generaly have normal instument cluster operation but in the hot afternoon the speedometer sometimes fails to work and occasionaly all the quages fail to function ie the temp, fuel, and speedometer. in the winter time when its cold it seems to work more consistantly. the problem appears to be temperature related. I used to be able to just push against the instument cluster glass with my fingers and the speedometer would jump back up and work again. this has been this way for a couple years. mainly the speedometer but occasionaly all instruments fail to function.

Hi:
Check under the dash to make sure the plugs and ground straps are all making a good connection.

Let me know what you find.
