Engine Cooling problem
1994 Other Plymouth Models Front Wheel Drive Automatic 175000 miles

The car starts out cool and after driving about 4 miles it starts signaling that its running hot. It does not smoke or sputter or anything. Once I am going at a steady pace it starts going down except this morning when it stayed up pass the hot sign. The engine still did not smoke or stop. What could be the cause of this?

have the coolant system pressure tested and the cylinders compression tested .. there could be numerous reasons for this ? coolant blockage/thermostat/water pump ??
